TrumpetFEST

The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith is issuing an invitation to all high school and college trumpet players to participate in TrumpetFEST on November 6. TrumpetFEST will include an afternoon rehearsal from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. concert. The concert is free and open to the public. Band directors are also invited to the event, which will be held in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center. Dr. Ryan Gardner, assistant professor of high brass and director of the UA Fort Smith Jazz Band, said TrumpetFEST is an opportunity for those who play trumpet to meet other trumpet players, expand their repertoire and learn about ensemble playing, as well as pick up a few trumpet pointers.
