Ensono, an Illinois-based information technology services provider, has opened a new office in Conway.

The company has long had a base in the town, and its 105 employees — with 19 holding management positions, according to a spokesman — recently relocated to an almost 29,000-square-foot office at 100 Southwestern Energy Drive.

“Ensono has played an integral part in the betterment of Conway for more than 45 years, and their work is pivotal for our state’s initiatives toward technology skills and education,” Gov. Asa Hutchinson said in a press release from Ensono. “I am honored to participate in the grand opening, and I look forward to Ensono’s continued success in our community and beyond.”

For example, Ensono hosted an IT internship program on the University of Central Arkansas campus. Arkansas Coding Academy was created to help fill a talent gap for the industry in the region.

“Ensono’s investments in Conway are a driving force behind the area’s vibrant tech community and thriving workforce,” Mike Preston, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, said in a statement. “They’ve been an outstanding partner in our region’s technology momentum and economic growth.”

Ensono’s Conway office works in product development, mainframe operations support, finance and procurement and internal systems support, according to the company.

“The Conway community has been incredibly supportive, and our commitment is to continue a positive impact through new jobs and knowledge sharing,” Ensono CEO Jeff VonDeylen said in a statement. “There is so much potential and opportunity for talent in Conway, and we are privileged to contribute to the community’s progress.”

Ensono will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion at its new location, 1000 SWN Drive, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 29).

The amount of the investment in the new office was not disclosed.
