Bentonville chamber now officially covers Pea Ridge

The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce is now formally aligned with the city of Pea Ridge, according to a chamber press release.

The Pea Ridge City Council approved a resolution supporting the partnership in its regular meeting Tuesday (Feb. 21).

The Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce rebranded to become the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce last month, with the chamber proclaiming its commitment to promote and advocate for businesses throughout the region.

“The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce’s new brand promotes pride in our diverse communities through positive, active leadership aimed at creating a diverse, cohesive, successful business climate in our region, thus ensuring healthy growth and a desirable quality of life,” Dana Davis, president and CEO of the chamber, said in the press release. “The Chamber acts as a convener, bringing together resources to enhance economic, workforce and community development and growth, and we are excited about this partnership with Pea Ridge and honored for the opportunity to represent the community and its businesses.”

Pea Ridge Mayor Jackie Crabtree will serve as an ex-officio member of the chamber’s Board of Directors.

“I feel like this is the next step in the future of Pea Ridge. With our local businesses having access to the programs and support provided by the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber, this will equip them with the tools they need to move forward to the next level,” Crabtree said in the release. “We are looking forward to a great relationship with the chamber.”

The chamber will host a meeting for Pea Ridge businesses to learn more about chamber membership and benefits at 8 a.m. on March 3 at the Pea Ridge Library at 801 N. Curtis Ave.

Griffin said though the chamber supports the Bentonville area, including other smaller towns like Centerton, there are no other formal partnerships with neighboring cities in the works at this time,
