Inszone Insurance acquires Smith & Co. of Stuttgart

Inszone Insurance Services, which has made several Arkansas acquisitions in recent months, is at it again.

The California-based insurance firm announced this week it has purchased Smith & Company Insurance Inc., located in Stuttgart. This acquisition brings the agency with roots dating back to 1904 into the Inszone organization, continuing to strengthen its footprint across the state of Arkansas.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

While Smith & Company Insurance dates back to 1904, the Smith family officially purchased the agency in 1971. Today, the agency is co-owned by Mark Smith, Drew Higginbothom, and William Smith, who have expanded the business.

Over the years, Smith & Company Insurance developed a highly successful aviation division and is deeply entrenched in the commercial agriculture space, alongside writing policies for multiple banks throughout the region.
