Hutton, a Wichita, Kan.-based design-build company, recently opened a 3,800-square-foot office in downtown Springdale. It’s the company’s sixth office and the first in Arkansas.
The office at 101 W. Johnson Ave., Suite A, has three full-time employees, two summer interns and an opening for an interior design position. The company, which is leasing the office, declined to provide the investment cost to open it.
“Northwest Arkansas is a place defined by growth, energy and possibility, and we’re proud to be part of that momentum,” said Andrew Boehm, Northwest Arkansas area leader at Hutton. “Opening a Springdale office allows our team to be more present, more connected and more supportive of the organizations building the future of this region.”
Hutton was founded in 1992 and has five business units, including Hutton Design+Build, Hutton Facility Services, Sevenfold, a Hutton Co., Hutton Development and Hutton Energy Services.
The Springdale office will focus on the Design+Build and Facility Services business units. The company’s other offices are all in Kansas, and it has designed and built projects across the central United States, from Minnesota to Texas. The company has over 400 employees.
Recent Northwest Arkansas projects included the design of restaurant HomeGrown, which has locations in Bentonville, Rogers and Springdale, and a facilities contract with Havenwood, a social services organization in Bentonville. Hutton looks to expand its area projects in the health care, manufacturing and municipal sectors.
