Crossroads Liquor in Bentonville and Liquor-To-Go in Fayetteville were recently purchased by Crossroads Beverage Co., a new venture led by longtime Northwest Arkansas entrepreneurs. David Turnbull was the previous owner of the liquor stores.

Entrepreneurs Dale Caudle and Steve Collier formed Crossroads Beverage Co. to broaden their portfolio of ventures here and in other states.

“We both own a few pretty diverse companies, and it seems to work well,” Collier said. “And we’ve had our sights on investing in the package store business.”

Crossroads Beverage Co. is leasing the stores. The Fayetteville store at 2831 N. Garland Ave. is 4,500 square feet, and the Bentonville store at 1401 S. Walton Blvd., Suite 15, is 2,000 square feet.

Both stores were rebranded to Crossroads Liquor NWA and recently reopened after about $250,000 in renovations.

“Liquor-To-Go hadn’t been upgraded in decades, and it really showed,” Collier said. “We hired a designer to give the old store a complete facelift, and we dramatically renovated the interior too. Customers are pretty amazed at the fresh look.”

Along with the renovations, the stores also received additional beer, wine and spirits.

“Our goal was to reorganize the interior layout so we could offer a lot more products and a lot more premium bottles, even some rare allocations,” Collier said.

The stores have eight employees.
