Tami Carol Wilson, age 63, passed away on April 25, 2026. She was born on February 20, 1963, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Charles Henry Light and Goldie Carol Light (Bennett).
Tami carried a joyful spirit that brought warmth to those around her, often expressed through her laughter and gift for storytelling. She enjoyed visiting yard sales and expressing her creativity through drawing and adult coloring books. A devoted member of the Pentecostal faith, she held her beliefs deeply.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy Wilson; her loving daughter, Erica Wilson; her mother, Carol Light; and her sisters, Ana, Michele, and India Light. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Carolyn Wilson; her brothers-in-law, Charles Wilson, Tom Bradford, and Bobby Wilson. She also leaves behind her nephew Daniel Light and his wife, Becky; nieces Jennifer Cole, Macy and husband Izaiah Galvez, and Whitney, and husband Dion Cole, her great-nephew, Bennett Light; and her great-nieces, Nevaeh Cole, Jayden Cole, Leighton Light, and Elizabeth Galvez; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henry Light; her grandparents, Clarence and Hattie Bennett, and Louis and Frances Light; and her mother-in-law, Mary Robertson.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Rick Yarberro. Pallbearers will be Daniel Light, Wesley Glasgow, Charles Wilson, and Izaiah Galvez. Interment will be at Steephill Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
