{“obituaryText”:”Huy Xuan Pham, 91 years old, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in his home. He was born on October 8, 1934 in Hue, Vietnam to Pham Du Luong and Nguyen Thi Hoe.\n\nHe was a provider-a lieutenant colonel in the South Vietnamese Army and factory worker at Riverside Furniture in Fort Smith, AR where he retired.\n\nAfter serving his country, he brought his wife and nine children to the United States in April, 1975. He stayed in Nashville, TN for one year and then moved to Fort Smith, AR. He helped many friends and family members come to America and shared his home in Lavaca, AR with a lot of them as well.\n\nHe worked long days, ending his work week on Fridays with a good steak and fish sauce, and loved to play cards. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing tennis and swimming. Later in life, he liked to watch tennis and football.
