Jerry Jack Houston passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at his home. He was born April 26, 1939 in Vermillion Co., IN, to James Phillip & Elsie (Robertson) Houston. The youngest of 5 children, all his siblings have preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 59+ years Norma (Milner) Houston, two children, Kevin Houston (Lina) of Chicago & Lorrie (Houston) Caporale (Stefan), of Marlborough, MA, as well as two beautiful grandchildren, James & Sophia Caporale, and numerous nieces & nephews.
In life, Jerry was an avid photographer & genealogist, tracing his family back to the founding of the Colonies. In his lifetime he was active in Junior Achievement, Big Brothers of America, Traffic Club of Terre Haute IN, Sons of the American Revolution, Scottish Club of Fort Smith, membership chair, Frontier Researchers, treasurer, Friendship Class of St. Paul UMC, & a fine bunch of coffee drinkers from ABF.
He will be missed until we re-join him in our Heavenly Home.
Funeral services are 11:30 AM, Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial including military honors in the U.S. National Cemetery. The family will visit for one hour prior to the service at the church.
