Shirley May Schauer

Shirley May Schauer, 90, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her home. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by family. She was born May 25, 1935 in Helena, Montana to the late Arthur and Evelyn (Warren) Morgan. She was a retired nurses aide.

Known for her great sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Shirley’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schauer; a sister, Judy Spaulding; and a brother, Sonny Morgan.

She is survived by a daughter, Jo Schauer; three sons, Steve and Jane Schauer, Don and Becky Schauer, and Dave and Nanette Schauer; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
