David Lee Jones

David Lee Jones, 70, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 in his home. He was born March 15, 1955 in Arizona.

David was a family man. He loved his family dearly. He loved our Lord very much and attended Harvest Time regularly. After 35 years of owning and operating David Jones and Sons, he retired in 2018. Retirement didn’t stop his hard work, and he spent most days helping various friends and family members with any project up for grabs. You could see David driving around in the community checking out all the new developments and growth. On many weekends, you could find him on a golf course with some amazing friends. David had a big family and even bigger circle of friends who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.

He is survived his wife of 49 years, Laurie; two sons, Daniel Jones and Tammy of Greenwood and Gary Jones of Greenwood; one daughter, Shelly Bosco and Danny of Poteau, OK; granddaughters, Kylie Jones of Fort Smith, Anna Bosco of Poteau, OK and Savannah Burke and Daniel of Fort Smith; grandsons, Corbin Jones of Arkoma, OK, Gavin Bosco of Westville, OK and Chance Beckham of Fort Smith;

great granddaughter, Kenzie Grace Burke of Fort Smith; brothers, Steve Jones and Sharon of Texas and Larry Jones and Jerie of Fort Smith and his sisters, Patricia Deer and Jimmy of Greenwood, Christina Dyer of Greenwood and Debbie Moreno and Paris of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloyd and Donna Jones and his sisters, Marcella Jones and Ginger Morgan-Jones.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 18 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Parks. Viewing will be Tuesday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
