Rose Marie King

Rose Marie King, age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on March 30, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to her loving mother, Nancy Jean Wennerholm. Rose found her greatest joy in being a grandmother—her grandchildren were the light of her life. She cherished time spent with them and with her family, whether it was playing card and board games, working on puzzles, or simply enjoying each other’s company. A homebody at heart, Rose’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the people she loved most.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and the way she made everyone feel like a friend. Rose never met a stranger, and her warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Denham and Jerry Denham; four cherished grandchildren—Ryan Jae Denham, Kierynn Nicole, Isabelle Marie Renee, and Abel Dewayne—and one grandchild on the way, lovingly named in her honor, Avery Rose. Rose also leaves behind her sisters, Nedra Jean and Linda Boo; twelve nieces and nephews; and a large circle of extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Wennerholm, and her brother, Richard Allen.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
