Connie Elizabeth Loarca, age 47, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on May 19, 1978, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to George Washington Brown Sr. and Rita Fay (Brumley) Brown.
Connie was raised on the family farm, where she developed a deep love for animals—especially dogs—that stayed with her throughout her life. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication, working many years with pride at OK Foods, where she found purpose and community in her role.
Connie had a simple, down-to-earth spirit and found joy in the little things. She enjoyed sitting outside with a cigarette, spending time in nature, and caring for her loyal dog, “Shy-Shy.” Above all, Connie treasured her family. She especially cherished coffee time with her sister, heartfelt conversations with her daughters, and the love and laughter shared with her extended family.
A woman of unwavering Christian faith, Connie believed in forgiveness and love. She held no grudges and extended grace to others, even when it wasn’t easy. Despite her health struggles in later years, she wanted to be remembered as the vibrant, strong, and outdoors-loving woman she had always been. One of her greatest comforts was music, and her favorite song, “Oceans” by Hillsong UNITED, reflected her deep faith and trust in God. She also had a love for the color purple, which brought her comfort and joy.
Connie is survived by the love of her life, Juan Loarca; her three beloved daughters, Emily Loarca, Haley Loarca, and Pheebe Loarca; and her honorary daughter, Mehlia Clayton. She also leaves behind her siblings, Karen English, Barbara, and George Brown Jr.; nieces, Niki, Rosa, Brandi, Selena, Aaliyah, Katrina, Kaitlyn, Kala, and Kimberly; nephews, Merlin, Joshua Brown, Joaquin, and Travis; great-nieces, Kiarrah, Empathy, Azalea, Elianna, Khloee, and Saylee; and great-nephews, Wyatt and Alexander.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Rita Brown; her brother, Terry; her sister, Crystal; great-nieces, Paisley and Tinslee; and her cherished canine companion of ten years, “Shy-Shy.”
Cremation is under the loving care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
