Fayetteville-based Jackson L. Graves Foundation, in partnership with Arkansas Community Foundation, recently launched a $250,000 endowment campaign to support the hospitals and caregivers treating critically ill infants.
“This initiative is designed to ensure sustained support for babies in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), their caregivers and facilities who provide them with life-saving treatment,” the release shows. “By establishing an endowment with the Arkansas Community Foundation, we aim to create a lasting source of funding that will continue to support NICU families and medical teams for generations to come.”
The foundation has raised more than $100,000 and needs help from people, businesses and philanthropists to reach the goal. Contributions to the endowment will provide essentials for NICU families experiencing hardship, resources and special training for NICU nurses and staff, and money for projects enhancing neonatal care and family support.
James and Angie Graves established the Jackson L. Graves Foundation in memory of their son, Jackson Lee Graves. For over two decades, it’s worked to improve the quality of life for neonatal and pediatric patients in critical care.
Through partnerships with hospitals, health care providers and supporters, the foundation has provided care packages for NICU families, essential resources for nurses and staff, and educational opportunities through the Audrey Harris Vision Neonatal Conference.
