Little Rock-based Encore Bank announced Wednesday (Feb. 5) the appointment of Eric Movassaghi as its new chief financial officer. In this role, Movassaghi will steer Encore’s financial strategy as the bank continues to expand and enhance its suite of financial products and services.
Movassaghi brings more than 20 years of executive financial leadership in the banking sector to Encore’s chief finance role. He most recently held the position of CFO at First National Bank of Louisiana. Before that, he was a member of IBERIABANK’s finance team for 16 years, where he led the treasury department through asset growth from $2 billion to $30 billion. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Duke University and a master’s degree in business administration from A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans.
“I appreciate the opportunity to partner with the team at Encore Bank to build something different,” said Movassaghi. “The team, culture, and technological capabilities that Encore has built over a relatively short period of time is impressive, and I am excited to be a part of their vision.”
CFO Jeff Stevenson will be the chief accounting officer, where he will focus on financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, and internal controls.
“Eric’s appointment is a reflection of Encore’s commitment to building a world-class leadership team to drive our growth and ambitious objectives,” said Phillip Jett, CEO of Encore Bank. “His expertise and vision will complement Jeff’s ongoing leadership in financial operations, ensuring that Encore remains financially robust and innovative as we scale our products and services.”
