Since its inception in 2004 by Dr. Missy Clifton, Premier Dermatology & Aesthetics has been an industry leader for skin care in Northwest Arkansas. What began as a solo practice in a modest strip mall on 28th Street in Bentonville has grown into a multifaceted enterprise with locations in Bentonville, Bella Vista and Fayetteville. Clifton’s vision to combine medical and cosmetic dermatology under one roof has propelled Premier’s growth.

The clinic’s expansion, exemplified by a sprawling 20,000-square-foot facility near Walton Boulevard in 2011, symbolizes its remarkable trajectory from a solo practice into a partnership with four other board-certified dermatologists — Dr. Kattie Allen, Dr. Blake Williams, Dr. Rebekah Baltz and Dr. Courtney Book.

Distinguished for its comprehensive skin services, Premier offers an array of advanced procedures, from life-saving Mohs surgery to aesthetic enhancements. Its aesthetic division features a state-of-the-art laser center operated by certified technicians, while a team of experienced dermatologists and injectors delivers unparalleled cosmetic treatments.

Clifton believes fiscal prudence, evidenced by consistently below-average costs, has fortified the company’s profitability. Moreover, Premier’s distinction extends beyond financial success; Allergan Aesthetics has recognized it as a Top 50 Practice in the U.S.

Clifton said Premier’s expertise sets it apart. Clifton holds dual board certifications in dermatology and laser surgery. Allen and Book are double board certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Laura Battle is double board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology, and she reviews every skin biopsy conducted at the clinic.

Supporting the community is a core part of Premier’s mission. In just the past four years, Clifton said Premier gave back over $250,000 through contributions to numerous organizations, including Cancer Challenge, Hope Cancer Resources, Saving Grace, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Pancreatic Cancer Network, Rampy Foundation, American Heart Association and Fayetteville Junior Civic League.

Clifton has volunteered her time as a board member for Cancer Challenge and has raised funds for the American Diabetes Association, winning their annual Kiss-A-Pig challenge. Additionally, she has been recognized as a “Big Wig” to help raise awareness and funds for Susan G. Komen. Drs. Blake Williams and Eric Belin have also participated in fundraising by walking the runway at the Bill Fleeman Gentleman of Distinction Gala.

As Premier looks ahead, Clifton envisions the company’s future in preventative health and wellness. The focus will shift toward an integrative approach to proactively address skin conditions rather than reacting to diseases and issues. Moreover, Premier will introduce hormone replacement therapies for patients.
