Arisa Health to use $1.25 million grant to renovate Springdale clinics

Springdale-based behavioral health provider Arisa Health received a $1.25 million grant from Fayetteville nonprofit Willard and Pat Walker Charitable Foundation for renovations and upgrades to clinical buildings at the Arisa corporate offices.
The grant will be used to renovate the Center for Children & Families and the David L. Williams buildings. Both clinical buildings are in Springdale.
“The Walker Charitable Foundation views Arisa Health as an invaluable asset to the Northwest Arkansas community and appreciates the working relationship we share,” according to a letter from Mandy Macke, executive director of the Willard and Pat Walker Charitable Foundation.
“This investment in community behavioral health by the Walker Foundation is a great gift to Arisa Health,” CEO Laura Tyler said. “It continues a rich legacy and honors the visionary and bold investments that Mr. and Mrs. Walker made decades ago. They had such compassion and a clear vision for improving health and understood that mental health was central to overall well-being. We are committed to being good stewards of this generous gift and the vision for investing in client care accessible in the local community.”
According to a news release Monday (July 10), Ozark Guidance and three other Arkansas community mental health centers joined in 2020 to form Arisa Health as the state’s largest nonprofit behavioral health provider. Arisa Health has 1,100 employees and serves nearly 65,000 Arkansans. It provides licensed mental health, medical, certified substance abuse and paraprofessional services in 41 Arkansas counties.
