Michael Scialla hired by Stephens Inc. to lead energy equity research

Stephens Inc. announced Tuesday (Nov. 29) that Michael Scialla has joined the firm as a Managing Director and will lead energy equity research coverage. He will be based in Denver.

“Michael is a consummate professional with deep knowledge of the energy sector that spans finance and Geophysics,” said Executive Vice President, Nik Fisken, Stephens Head of Institutional Equities and Research. “His 30-year career arc includes a diversity of disciplines that is perfectly suited to the changing nature of energy. We look forward to leveraging Michael’s unique insights with clients.”

Scialla has a distinguished career in energy research. His prior firms included Stifel, A.G. Edwards and HS Resources. He has also worked as a Geophysical Analyst for Chevron.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado.
