Arvest Bank subsidiary Arvest Wealth Management (AWM) said Thursday (Nov. 10) that Donny Rogers of Fort Smith has been promoted to president of investment services, effective Jan. 1.

He will replace Calvin Jarrett, who is retiring early next year.

Headquartered in Lowell, AWM is the wealth management division that is owned by Walton family-owned Arvest Bank of Fayetteville.

AWM has approximately 360 employees who advise customers in three lines of business: Arvest Investments Inc. (registered FINRA and SEC broker/dealer), Arvest Trust and Arvest Insurance Co.

Rogers is president and CEO of Arvest Trust and executive director of sales. He will retain the sales job in addition to his new role. Arvest Trust will announce his successor at a later date.

As president of investment services, Rogers will be responsible for the supervision of the broker/dealer. According to a news release, there will be a particular emphasis on the customer experience and the needs of AWM advisors.

Rogers will also focus on developing strategic plans and fostering a culture of sales and service.

“Donny’s wide range of experience includes banking, branch management, wealth management, sales management and more,” said Asa Cottrell, Arvest Wealth Management president and CEO. “His leadership in those roles and as president and CEO of Arvest Trust has been strong and a key driver of our success. It’s also one of the reasons he is the perfect fit for this job.

“Calvin has been an amazing associate for more than 35 years, and his contributions to our company have been invaluable. He’s also been a great representation of our culture, and we wish him all the best in retirement.”

Rogers received his degree in economics and finance from Arkansas Tech University and obtained his certified financial planner (CFP) certification in 1997.

Rogers is a board member in various capacities for several groups, including Lincoln Child Care Services, the Community Services Clearinghouse, Fort Smith Boys Shelter and Reynolds Cancer Support House.

“It’s humbling to think about following Calvin’s leadership and all the change he has navigated through over the past 35 years,” Rogers said. “We will certainly be standing on his shoulders as we continue to serve our customers and associates. I’m excited about the opportunity to serve our advisors, their clients and our respective communities as the next president of Arvest Wealth Management investment services.”
