ArcBest President, CEO and Board Chairman Judy McReynolds was included on the prestigious 2022 Forbes 50 Over 50 Entrepreneurs list that included a NASA executive and CEO of a large defense industry firm.

The Entrepreneurs segment was part of a broader list of women that included U.S. Supreme Court Justice Kentanji Brown-Jackson, Sandra Bullock, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly, Dolly Parton, and Tina Turner. Other notable people on the Entrepreneurs list include Foot Locker CEO Mary Dillon, Occidental Petroleum CEO Vicki Hollub, NASA Deputy Administrator Pamela Melroy, and General Dynamics CEO Phebe Novakovic.

“Not everyone on our 50 Over 50: Entrepreneurs list is a founder, but all are entrepreneurial in their approach as they disrupt businesses ranging from manufacturing, technology and healthcare,” Forbes noted in on its Entrepreneurs list.

McReynolds was named president and CEO in 2010 of Fort Smith-based ArcBest, and has been chairman since April 2016. Before joining ArcBest, she was director of financial reporting and taxation for Tontitown-based carrier P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. and a senior manager of accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP. She serves or has served on boards for OGE Energy Corp., First Bank Corp., First National Bank of Fort Smith and the Transportation Industry Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

“It’s an honor to be recognized on this year’s Forbes list, and I deeply appreciate the recognition it brings our organization and the transportation and logistics industry as well. Congratulations to all honorees – their collective contributions have significant impact on our world, now and in the future,” McReynolds noted in a statement to Talk Business & Politics.

In December 2021, she ranked No. 26 on the Best CEOs list, recognizing the Top 100 highest-rated CEOs for large companies. The list was created based only on input from female employees. McReynolds was recently named to the Arkansas Research Alliance Board of Trustees. She was also one of Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s 2018 Women in Business.

Forbes also noted that “McReynolds leads ArcBest’s 14,000 employees at 250 campuses and service centers.”

ArcBest, the parent company of ABF Freight, one of the largest less-than-truckload carriers in the nation, is on pace to post annual revenue above $4 billion for the first time in its almost 100-year history.
