Tech firm Affirma to open Bentonville office

Affirma, a Bellevue, Wash.-based technology services company, plans to open a 3,581-square-foot office in Bentonville by Sept. 1. It has about 2,300 square feet of office space in Fayetteville.
According to a news release, the new office at 1803 Phyllis St. will accommodate growth, provide employees with a workplace closer to where they live and create more jobs for University of Arkansas graduates.
Mark Mason, a co-founder of Affirma, said the area office space should accommodate at least 100 employees. The company has about 65 area employees.
Affirma opened its first Northwest Arkansas office in Fayetteville two years ago. The release shows that since then, it’s grown as a result of “high-quality customer service and strong dedication” to employee growth and well-being.
“We are very excited about our growth in Northwest Arkansas,” Mason said. “In just two years, we have gone from zero to 65 employees and expect to see this growth trajectory continue. All our divisions and service centers are hiring in NWA to service our Fortune 100 clients. We see rapid growth in the demand for our industry-leading technology and digital experience services. We currently do not count any of NWA’s largest companies as clients but are hoping to change that as we become better known in the community.”
In 2019, the company committed to reaching 100 technology jobs in Northwest Arkansas in five years. Mason said he expects to reach the goal by the end of 2022, or about 18 months early.
Also, in 2019, Affirma developed a partnership with the College of Engineering at the UA to offer internships to students. Recently, the association was expanded to include the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the UA and increase internship offerings in sales, content writing and accounting. The company also has collaborated with the Arkansas Center for Data Sciences to provide apprenticeships in SharePoint, NetSuite and Salesforce.
Mason said another goal is for its Northwest Arkansas employees to deliver all its services. The company has about 20-30 service offerings, and area employees can provide about half. Affirma has more than 700 employees worldwide.
