Zweig Group hires Marci Thompson to open Washington, D.C., office

Zweig Group, a Fayetteville-based media, publishing and consulting company for the architecture and engineering industries, will open an office in the Washington, D.C., area. The company also has hired Marci Thompson as chief learning officer, and she will open the D.C. office.

Thompson has led learning in organizations ranging from 7,000 to 100,000 members, managed training budgets of more than $1.5 million and has experience curating content and designing learning experiences for professionals.

Thompson previously was chief learning officer for the Society for Marketing Professional Services where she increased training revenue and expanded learning opportunities for the organization’s members.

Doug Parker, chief operating officer for Zweig Group, noted Thompson’s prominence in the field and her depth of experience. “We are thrilled to have Thompson at the helm of Zweig Group’s learning programs,” he said.

Zweig Group, which has 36 employees, also has an office in Dallas.
