Entrepreneur Ancil Lea of Ancil Lea Consulting in Conway has written a book on “entrepreneurship and its connection to coffee.” Titled “Common Ground,” it will be released Wednesday (Oct. 25) on Amazon and from Blue Sail coffee shop in downtown Conway, according to a press release from the author.

It will be available as a paperback, e-book and audio book.

“Over the years, I’ve learned to work from a coffee shop, out of necessity and my love for coffee. What has happened is something magical and profitable,” Lea, a medical software technology and innovation consultant, said in the release. “Clients feel comfortable having meetings, signing agreements and discussing their business. It is a familiar, professional, safe, creative place to work. A place to come for community.”

Lea has worked in the healthcare software technology industry throughout the mid-South for close to three decades. He started his consulting business in 1991 and is the former executive director of the Regional Extension Center for the Office of the National Coordinator under the HiTech Act for Arkansas.

Ancil last year wrote the e-book, Cyber War: Securing Patient Health Information in Today’s Electronic Environment,” which was endorsed and promoted by the Arkansas Medical Society, according to the press release. It is available for free through the Ancil Lea Consulting website.

For the past three years, Ancil has been a frequent columnist for the healthcare section of Talk Business & Politics.

Lea is “very active” in the startup community in central Arkansas, according to the press release.
