Forty Under 40: Junior Lopez

Ernesto “Junior” Lopez is only 32, but he is already leaving his mark all over Northwest Arkansas.

As vice president and project manager/estimator for Nabholz Construction Corp., Lopez has overseen the construction of the University of Arkansas’ chemistry and poultry science buildings, First Baptist Church in Springdale, Eureka Springs Medical Park and Tanger Outlet Mall in Branson, Mo. His current projects include the Town Center and Commerce Park, both in Fayetteville, and First State Bank and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, both in Rogers.

Lopez joined Nabholz in 1991 and worked as an assistant superintendent, job site superintendent and safety director prior to his most recent promotion.

He is also an authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor and a member of the American Institute of Constructors, Arkansas General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.

Lopez, originally from New York, graduated from John Brown University in Siloam Springs with a bachelor’s degree in building construction. He and his wife, Tonya, are members of Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell and have a son, Noah.
