The Hyatt Place hotel, near the intersection of Interstate 49 and West Walnut Street in Rogers, recently wrapped up $1.9 million worth of renovations to every room on the property.

The project began March 28 and was an investment by the hotel’s ownership company, McKibbon Hotel Management Group.

Annette Nichols, the hotel’s general manager for a decade, said each of the hotel’s 103 rooms has new furniture and carpet, as well as new bathroom tiling and vanities.

The mattress and air conditioning unit in every room were also replaced, and bathrooms in each of the hotel’s 58 King rooms now have a walk-in shower.

Renovations also were made to the hotel’s lobby bar with new furniture. Carpet, tables and chairs were all replaced in the hotel’s 850-SF conference room.

“I’m excited, and the staff is very excited,” Nichols said. “They have remained upbeat during the entire process, and we’re ready to enjoy all the upgrades.”

Reliance Construction Co., a national hotel renovation company based in Florida, led the design. Nichols said the renovation team occupied about a dozen rooms during the project, which left her with less than a full inventory the last three months.

“As great as it has been, they’ve worn out their welcome,” Nichols joked. “It’s time to go and give me my hotel back. We’ll be working to make up some [room] revenue from this day forward.”
Nichols said a grand re-opening event will be held in August.
