Sebastian County Treasurer re-elected, Circuit Judge race headed to runoff (Updated)

Sebastian County Treasurer Judith Miller was re-elected Tuesday, with newcomer Zach Johnson headed to a win tin the county assessor race and a runoff shaping up between attorneys Shannon Blatt and Dianna Hewitt Ladd for a Circuit Judge post.

Dennis Gilstrap won the GOP primary in Crawford County for the county judge position. With no Democratic candidate, Gilstrap will be Judge-elect when the election is certified. County voters will also see a county assessor runoff between Sandra Heiner and Cliff Weldon, who received 39.31% and 34.5%, respectively in the GOP primary. Assessor Ronnie Dale is not running again, and no Democrats filed for the job.

With 100% of county precincts reporting, Sebastian County voters lined up behind Donald Trump (32.3%), with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, getting 30.4% of the county vote and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., getting 23.9%. Ohio Gov. John Kasich received 5.3% of the Sebastian County primary vote.

Former U.S. Secretary of State and Arkansas First Lady Hillary Clinton won 61.1% of the vote with 82% of Sebastian County precincts reporting, with U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., getting 36.8%.

Susan Clem: 39.8%
