Executives from the region’s Fortune 500 companies will be among the scheduled speakers at the 2016 Arkansas Society for Human Resource Management (ARSHRM) Conference & Expo. The 30th annual state conference is April 6-8 at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.

“We usually have around 400 in attendance and over 90 exhibitors but this year we are anticipating an exponential increase in that number based on our programs,” said publicity chair Sara Staley. “We have an enormously robust speaker schedule.”

The schedule of speakers includes J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. executive Shelley Simpson, who currently serves as executive vice president, chief marketing officer, and is president of two of the company’s four business segments — Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS) and Truck.

Mary Oleksiuk is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Tyson Foods Inc.

Also scheduled to speak is Susan Chambers, who joined Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in 1999 and retired in July 2015 as the company’s executive vice president and chief human resource officer.

Staley said motivational speakers Steve Donahue and Avish Parashar will give keynote addresses, as will Lt. Col. Scott Mann, a retired Green Beret Lieutenant Colonel who spent almost 23 years in the U.S. Army and more than 18 years in Special Operations.

Human resources officials and other executives interested in attending the event may register at www.hr2016.org.
