Credit Union to Break Ground On New Facility October 6

The UARK Federal Credit Union will hold a groundbreaking event Oct. 6 for its new location in Fayetteville.
The new building is located on 50 E. Van Asche Drive in Fayetteville and will be 7,400-SF. UARK acquired the 1.2-acre site, at the northwest corner of Van Asche Drive and Steele Boulevard, in July for $775,000
Kinco Constructors LLC in Springdale is the contractor for the project, and Ken Shireman & Associates of Fayetteville is handling the design work.
Kendra Wylie, head of marketing and business development, said the event will begin at 10 a.m.
UARK, presently at 1025 Garland Ave., celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.
“We are excited that our growth is requiring this move,” Wylie said. “It will be great to be in our own space where we get to really put our stamp on it.”
