Startup Junkie Consulting has selected the applicants for its 2.7.0. mentorship-driven accelerator program which is designed to help entrepreneurs advance their companies in the food, retail and supply chain industries. This new accelerator’s name — 2.7.0. — stands for 2 months time, 7 companies and 0 boundaries.
“We were thrilled to receive an overwhelming number of highly qualified applicants,” according to Haley Cleous, associate consultant at Startup Junkie Consulting. “With the surplus of promising companies in the Ozarks, the evaluating panel decided to expand the size of the accelerator and accept eleven companies instead of seven.”
All companies accepted into 2.7.0. are owned by women, minorities, and veterans. Of the companies: one is veteran-owned, five are woman-owned, eight are minority-owned, and three are Native American-owned.
The accelerator will begin Sept. 1 and continue through Nov. 13. Participants will receive mentoring, counseling, training, support and assistance from a variety of professional backgrounds. The participants will have access to area entrepreneurs, increased access to capital and all the resources they need to thrive in their new ventures.
The 2.7.0. will end with a “demo day,” showcasing the companies in the first cohort.
