Good news for St. Louis Cardinals fans: Nonstop flights between Clinton National Airport and St. Louis will soon resume.

The Little Rock airport announced Southwest Airlines will be providing twice daily service on a Boeing 737 beginning January 6, 2016.

“We’ve been extremely focused on regaining nonstop service to St. Louis since it was discontinued in 2013,” said Ron Mathieu, Executive Director of the Clinton National Airport. “St. Louis is a popular destination for family fun or business in addition to giving our passengers additional connectivity.”

Passengers may now book reservations at southwest.com.

The airline is offering special introductory fares of $49 with certain restrictions. Little Rock passengers will be able to connect to an additional 30 Southwest Airlines destinations through St. Louis.
