Do you care about water quality and have access to a kayak or a boat? Take part in the 2015 Secchi Dip-in on Sat., July 25, and help collect water-quality data in the Illinois River Watershed of northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma. Here’s how it works: check out a Secchi water-monitoring disk from the Illinois River Watershed Learning Center, 221 S. Main in Cave Springs. Gather data from any of the lakes located on this map: http://bit.ly/1KOjP6N. Return the data and disc to the learning center or the Siloam Springs Kayak Park, 19253 Fisher Ford Road, on July 25, from 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Hot dogs and drinks will be served at both locations. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (479) 256-9278.
