University of Arkansas economist Kathy Deck will provide an update on the economy’s progress at the Quarterly Business Analysis luncheon May 8 at the new Hilton Garden Inn & Conference Center in Fayetteville, just off Interstate 49 at the Wedington Road exit.

The event will start at 11:30 a.m. and include business highlights from the first quarter of 2015, key economic trends and projections, and discussion of other issues facing the regional and state economy.

“Throughout the spring of 2015, we have been receiving new information about the trajectory of the Northwest Arkansas economy,” said Deck, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the UA. “Many of the most important economic data series have been significantly revised and this Quarterly Business Analysis program will give our leaders a chance to get up to speed on the trends that will affect the region over the near term.”

The luncheons are a partnership between the CBER and the Northwest Arkansas chambers of commerce.

The cost for the program and luncheon is $40 and pre-registration by May 4 is required.
