Arvest Bank Opens New Branch Office in Gentry
Fayetteville-chartered Arvest Bank recently moved into an upgraded banking office in Gentry.
Arvest officials say the company invested $1.5 million to construct the 3,185-SF building at 320 E. Main St., which opened for business Dec. 15. The new branch is on the same lot as the former Arvest location, which will be torn down.
The new branch is double the size of the former branch office and includes five offices, a conference room, three drive-thru lanes, an ATM lane and three front teller work stations.
Kristi Hollaway is the branch manager.
The building that previously housed the Gentry branch first opened on July 26, 1966, and was originally built as Bratt-Wasson Bank, according to Arvest Bank officials.
First National Bank of Siloam Springs bought Bratt-Wasson, and in 1984, Arvest Bank purchased First National Bank.
Arvest and Decatur State Bank are the only two banks with full-service branches in Gentry, according to the FDIC.
The city’s Arvest branch has deposits of $29.1 million as of June 30. That ranks 17th among Arvest Bank’s 24 bank offices in Benton County.
Decatur State Bank had deposits of $13.1 million at its Gentry location.
