Ozark Mountain Poultry Celebrating Warren Facility Opening
Rogers-based Ozark Mountain Poultry (OMP) will officially cut the ribbon on its new Warren poultry facility on Friday, Oct. 3 Oct. 3 – an expansion that will employ 124 local workers.
The announcement of the Warren plant was made in August when officials said Blue Rooster, owned by OMP, would locate there. At the time, only 100 workers were scheduled to be hired at the deboning plant.
Production began on Oct. 1, but officials will hold a local ribbon-cutting Friday.
“We are very happy to be opening this facility in Warren,” said Ed Fryar, CEO, Ozark Mountain Poultry. “Warren is a wonderful community, and we’ve been able to hire great employees that will help us bring great chicken to consumers across the country.”
OMP produces premium quality chicken for the restaurant industry and its products are also available at a variety of grocery retailers throughout the U.S. through its consumer-based brand Forester Farmer’s Market.
