Republicans in key primary races continue to roll out their latest TV media ahead of next week’s early voting window.

Yesterday, GOP Attorney General candidate Leslie Rutledge unveiled her first television ad. On Thursday (May 1), her Republican rival David Sterling revealed his first TV spot. Rutledge and Sterling also face Republican Patricia Nation in the GOP primary for Attorney General.

Sterling’s ad, which you can view below, features his opposition to Pres. Obama’s agenda.

“I’ll go to court to support the Constitution against federal overreach,” Sterling says.

He touts his opposition to Obamacare and support for the Second Amendment and religious freedom. Sterling also says his idea to reinstitute the electric chair in death penalty cases separates him from his GOP rivals.

“I’m the only candidate that will fix our broken death penalty,” he asserts.

Sterling has benefited from a large media buy from an independent expenditure group, American Freedom Fund, which is running a strong six-figure TV campaign in support of his candidacy.

GOP gubernatorial frontrunner Asa Hutchinson has also unveiled another TV ad. His latest ad — which outlines his plans for lowering taxes, installing a computer science curriculum in schools, and promoting his jobs plan — can also be viewed below.

This weekend, Talk Business and Hendrix College will roll out a series of poll results related to the GOP primaries. The poll, which surveyed likely Republican primary voters statewide, will offer results on match-ups in the following GOP primary races: Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Treasurer, Auditor, Congressional District 2 and Congressional District 4.

The survey also asked respondents for their position on the private option health insurance program.
