Leslie Rutledge unveiled a new statewide TV ad on Wednesday (April 30) that touts her conservative credentials in the Attorney General’s race.

Rutledge faces Patricia Nation and David Sterling in the May 20 Republican primary for Attorney General.  The winner will face Democrat Nate Steel in the general election.  Sterling has benefited from a large TV buy – topping $300,000 by some estimates – from American Freedom Fund, which is pushing his candidacy.

In Rutledge’s ad, she says, “Arkansas has never elected a Republican attorney general.”

She mentions several positions aimed at conservative voters saying, “I want you to know that I am a Christian, pro-life, gun-carrying conservative woman with the opportunity to make history.”

Rutledge also says she’ll fight Pres. Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in an effort to “put a stop to Obamacare.”

The TV ad is airing statewide, according to the Rutledge campaign. You can view the ad below.
