J.W. Gabel, Co-Founder of Lindsey, Dies at 92

J.W. “Gabe” Gabel, a co-founder of highly successful Fayetteville-based real estate firm Lindsey & Associates Inc., died Feb. 16 in Fayetteville. He was 92.

Gabel and Jim Lindsey partnered to launch Lindsey & Associates in 1973. The two men had worked together during the offseason while Lindsey played professional football for the Minnesota Vikings from 1966 to 1972.

Funeral services through Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville were held Feb. 21 at Central United Methodist Church of Fayetteville, where Gabel was a member for 62 years.

Gabel, a University of Arkansas graduate, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
