ERC to Break Ground April 4 on Downtown Bentonville Development

Fort Smith builder ERC Companies will break ground April 4 on a 44,000-SF mixed-use development at the intersection of S.W. A and S.W. Fourth streets in Bentonville, in the newly established downtown Arts District.
“Thrive,” as ERC is calling the project, is planned to hold 62 residential units, with 1,760 SF of bottom-floor space available for commercial use, according to a news release from ERC.
The groundbreaking is set for 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow at 11 a.m. at nearby Tusk & Trotter restaurant.
“We have a unique opportunity to establish Thrive as an urban lifestyle brand that is fanatical about the experience of our residents,” said Rob Coleman, owner and chief operating officer or ERC Companies in Fort Smith. “In selecting a location for Thrive: Bentonville, we were enthused by downtown Bentonville’s revitalized economic buzz, its growing art scene and the new experience districts — all part of what you would expect in an urban lifestyle.”
The three-story, red-brick building will offer units ranging from 520 to 1,000 SF. The architect for the project, Fayetteville-based Robert Sharp, was inspired by 20th century red-brick factory buildings, according to the news release.
The cost of the project was not disclosed.
