Project Management Company Offering Free Presentation
A leading project management company based in Northwest Arkansas is offering a free presentation on the subject Jan. 23 in Rogers.
PMP Specialists of Siloam Springs will present “Project Management in the Morning” on Thursday, Jan. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until noon at the Harding NWA Professional Center in Rogers.
PMP Specialists was founded in 2008 when its three managing partners — Collin Quiring, Tim Gryder and Darin Brazile — peeled off from a competing company to start their own business.
In the five years since, PMP has become another example of a local company doing big things, helping organizations throughout the country become more efficient.
A sampling of its clients include Energizer Battery Inc., Phillips 66, PNC Financial Services Inc. and the University of Akron.
On the technology side, the company is a certified Microsoft Partner specializing in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) deployments with Microsoft Project, the dominant PC-based project management software.
The certification is given by Microsoft only to companies who have employees certified at a high level in the software.
“We’re the only Microsoft Partner in the entire state with the PPM competency,” Quiring said. “We’re proud of that.”
PMP is also one of just 32 companies in the world with contractors who have achieved the OPM3 Professional Certification, a globally recognized best-practice standard.
There are just 89 OPM3 certified people in the world. Quiring and Gryder are two of them.
