Wyrick to Begin Leadership Role April 1
University of Arkansas chancellor G. David Gearhart announced Thursday, that Chris Wyrick, the university’s new vice chancellor for university advancement, will assume his new role effective Monday, April 1.
Gearhart announced his appointment of Wyrick on Feb. 14, and at the time, said his starting date had not yet been determined but would be influenced by Wyrick’s completion of his duties as the executive director of the Razorback Foundation Inc.. The Razorback Foundation is the not-for-profit organization that provides financial support for the university’s intercollegiate athletics program.
“I am excited about joining chancellor Gearhart’s administration and about working with the advancement team to help realize the university’s goals and objectives,” Wyrick said in a news release.
Sean Rochelle, the Razorback Foundation’s current associate executive director, was recently selected to succeed Wyrick as the organization’s chief administrator.
Brad Choate, Wyrick’s predecessor as vice chancellor for university advancement, will work with Wyrick to ensure a smooth transition and continue his current assignment as a capital campaign adviser and development officer through the end of his current appointment. Effective April 1, Choate’s compensation will be paid completely through private funds.
