Pump Firm with Local Office Acquires Nashville Company

Tencarva Machinery Co., a distributor of pumps and related equipment that has branch offices in Springdale and Little Rock, recently bought the assets of Southern Sales Co. of Nashville.
The terms of the transaction were not released.
Southern Sales has been in business since 1923, and its product lines include pumps, blowers, wastewater equipment and systems, and sludge-handling equipment. All 26 employees at Southern Sales were offered positions at Tencarva, according to a news release.
Based in Greensboro, N.C., Tencarva specializes in pumps, liquid process and custom-designed systems for the industrial and municipal marketplace.
With the addition of Southern Sales, Tencarva now has 334 employees at 27 branches in eight states. The Springdale office is at 1106 Shaver St.
