Forty Under 40: Jeremy David Hudson

As a rugby player, he knows a few songs he’d rather not sing in public. Bitten by the rugby bug when he was a student at John Brown University, Jeremy Hudson counts the hard-hitting sport as one of his passions.

But even rugby takes a second seat to his family and his profession, which is developing and managing student housing and LEED-certified multifamily properties in Fayetteville. His signature building, ECO Modern Flats, was the first LEED Platinum Certified building in Washington County and the first LEED certified multifamily project in the state. The development won the 2012 LEED for Homes Multifamily Award.

Hudson cut his teeth with Mi Casa Real Estate Co. in Springdale, where he worked as a residential real estate agent for buyers and sellers. Mi Casa transitioned into multifamily housing and is where Hudson has made his name.

With a degree in construction management and a minor in business administration, Hudson has the appropriate academic credentials. But what inspires him is the prospect of providing someone with a nice place to live.

“I’m driven by design and seeing those designs come into reality,” he said. “We have a passion for developing communities where people want to rent, and not just have to rent.”
