Mike Maynard and DeWayne Benson, owners of Fitness Holdings LLC, are the new owners of a 12,000 SF renovated fitness center at 2668 East Citizens Drive in Fayetteville.

The new business, Fitness 4 Less, is housed in the building formerly occupied by Mission Fitness. Maynard and Benson bought the building from Steve Mills.

The original SF of the one-story building, Maynard said, was 5,800. Renovations were finished by January 7 and took about two months to complete.

“We saw this as a great opportunity and a great need,” said Maynard, who along with Benson have 45 years of combined experience in the industry. “We’ve made everything user friendly, whether you’re an 18-year old athlete or you’re in the 65 to 72 age range and looking to add years to your life and life to your years.”

Amenities offered include state-of-the-art equipment and executive locker rooms, a 900-SF Kids Club for children ages 3 months to 11 years old, a smoothie bar, personal training and Les Mills certified instructors and classes.

Another amenity is a 1,900 SF group fitness room with a suspended wooden floor, which can offer increased protection to bones and joints during repetitive exercising.

Arvest Bank of Fayetteville provided the financing for the expansion.

J.R. Ball Contracting Group of Springdale was the contractor.
