Vision Airlines Landing In Little Rock
Vision Airlines announced a “mega-expansion” of its commercial passenger service with non-stop jet flights to 20 U.S. cities, including new direct flights from Arkansas to Florida.
Suwannee, Georgia-based Vision Airlines said part of its expanding service is in response to the tourism drop-off in Florida caused by the BP oil spill a year ago.
Some of the introductory rates offered are as low as $49 one-way, but will likely settle in the $89 one-way range.
“Currently, passengers living in these cities are forced to fly in cramped regional jets, endure long layovers in connecting cities and must pay extremely high airfares,” said Vision Airlines’ COO David Meers.
“Now, Vision Airlines is changing the way people fly from these cities by eliminating connections and layovers, by providing Boeing 737 jet service, and by offering the competitive low airfares that passengers in America’s larger cities enjoy when flying to the nation’s most-desired destinations, especially Florida,” Meers added.
From Little Rock’s national airport, flights will be available to Destin/Ft. Walton Beach and to Orlando, Florida beginning in late March.
