Office Vacancies Highest in Fayetteville

The central Fayetteville business district has the highest office vacancy rate in Northwest Arkansas, according to fourth quarter data released by the Northwest Arkansas Commercial Data Exchange.

Central Fayetteville has a rate of 18.2 percent vacant, followed by 17.7 percent in both northern Fayetteville and western Rogers.

The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal has an exclusive agreement with Xceligent Inc. of Independence, Mo., whereby its local affiliate, the Northwest Arkansas Commercial Data Exchange, provides a database of commercial listings and quarterly data about the commercial real estate market.

The total average vacancy rate for office space in Benton and Washington counties was 13.7 percent at the end of the fourth quarter. Including all Class A, B and C buildings, there was more than 1.31 million SF of total vacant space, down slightly from 1.38 million SF at the end of the third quarter.

There were a total of 342 office buildings in the market at the end of the quarter.
