Hannover House Targets Record Sales
Whispers readers may remember the August report that Hannover House, the Springdale-based film and video distribution division of Las Vegas-based Target Development Group Inc., would cut bait on a project. HH dropped the award-winning film called “happythankyoumoreplease” it had hoped to release and was blocked from producing a separate feature based on the original “Terminator” movie.
However, on Oct. 21, MarketWatch reported three video releases this December (including “Twelve,” the teen thriller directed by Joel Schumacher) could generate a record sales performance for Hannover House, and just in time for Christmas.
MarketWatch also reported on Oct. 6 that Hannover House has added “Girlfriend,” a film that made noise at the Toronto Film Festival, to its roster. It is expected to hit theaters nationwide in the coming months. The company will also handle worldwide distribution for “Daddy’s Little Hero,” a live-action family feature currently set to start production in April 2011.
