Neal’s Cafe Serves Kangen Water to Rave Reviews
Home to delicious home cooking, Springdale’s Neal’s Café is the oldest family-owned restaurant in Northwest Arkansas. And now its serving something besides fried chicken.

Since Aug. 9, owner Don Neal has been dishing out Kangen Water to customers. He’ll serve it at the table if you wish. Or he’ll send customers out the door with a gallon. Either way, it’s free.

“This water is the most fantastic water because you experience for the first time in your life total hydration,” Neal said. “I’m 58. I’m not supposed to have this sort of energy. My blood pressure is down. My arthritis has gone away. My skin is more hydrated.”

Plus, reports Neal, he’s lost weight and – best of all, diet fans – is still eating whatever he wants. On whether Kangen Water is helping his bottom line, Neal can’t tell.

“But people like to drink good water,” he said, “so I’m offering it to them.”

A friend brings Neal jugs he fills up and gives away, but if someone brings an empty container he’ll fill that, too. He was recently topping off 30-50 gallons worth per day, and in one month gave away 3,000 gallons.

Neal makes it by running tap water through a filtration machine purchased from Enagic USA Inc., an arm of Japanese-based Enagic Co. The 36-year old company has sold over 90,000 units nationwide, 1,240 in Arkansas.

A.T. Blann, an independent company contractor based out of Fayetteville, said five models are available, which range in price from $1,280 to $5,000. The flagship model, the SD501, is said to be the most popular. It retails for $3,980.
