Sebastian County Bar Associations selects new officers

The Sebastian County Bar Association has elected and announced its 2010-2011 officers:
• President:  Sonya Mattingly Hall, vice president and trust officer with First National Bank of Fort Smith
• Vice president:  Kathryn Stocks – partner with Warner, Smith & Harris, PLC
• Secretary/treasurer:  Sam Terry – attorney with Hayes, Karber, Alford & Smith, PLLC

The Sebastian County Bar Association is a professional association whose mission is to serve the interests of the attorneys, judges and citizens of Sebastian County, Arkansas, by working to promote the professional interests of the local bench and bar; encourage collegiality, public service and professionalism on the part of legal practitioners in Sebastian County; to improve access to legal services and the judicial system for those citizens, businesses and other organizations, that live, work and operate in Sebastian County; work to support the federal, state and municipal courts of Sebastian County in the administration of the law; and increase public awareness of the crucial role that the law occupies in the lives of the people, and the operation of government, businesses, churches, charities, medical providers and institutions, and educators and educational institutions, of Sebastian County.
