“Arkoma Ready 09”

Town of Arkoma Emergency Management is Hosting a community preparedness event “Arkoma Ready ’09” on Monday, September 14th from 5:30 pm to 8:00pm at the elementary school gym. Representatives from the American Red Cross, Salvation Army Disaster Services, State of Oklahoma Health Department, LeFlore County Health Department, Eastern Oklahoma Amateur Radio Emergency Service or ARES, Arkoma Police Department, Arkoma Fire / Rescue, Arkoma Community Emergency Response Team, and Arkoma Emergency Management will be on hand to hand out information, give demonstrations on many different topics, and provide vital resources to our community for personal and family emergency preparedness. The Arkoma Police Department will also be conducting a FREE Child ID Kit booth. Other activites include FREE Food and Drinks, Door Prizes, and Games for Kids of all ages.
