The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith will receive $2 million $42.5 million of America Recovery and Reinvestment Act (federal stimulus plan) funds for higher-education institutions in Arkansas.

The office of Gov. Mike Beebe made the announcement Monday (Aug. 10), with the money to be used for renovation, energy-efficiency upgrades, and expansion of higher-education facilities.
